Antonio Damasio is a neurologist and neuroscientist and is currently Professor of Psychology, Philosophy, and Neurology, at the University of Southern California. His research focuses on the role of emotion in mental processes, with a particular focus on consciousness. He is the author of many books, the most recent of which is Feeling and Knowing. Today we discuss consciousness and how it relates to the brain and the life process.
